RØDE Microphones has partnered with the award-winning film school Full Sail University to bring an exciting new category to The World’s Largest Short Film Competition, My RØDE Reel: “The Trailer Is The Movie!”
Entrants are invited to create a 3-minute trailer for an all-original movie concept (and a Behind-The-Scenes short film showcasing the use of a RØDE product) for the chance to win a life-changing prize: one of two scholarships to Full Sail University.
Full Sail University was named amongst the Top 50 U.S Film Schools by The Wrapmagazine three years in a row in 2016, 2017, and 2018, and has been the career foundation for thousands of alumni working in the entertainment industry today.
Students are instructed by industry veterans, with access to over 110 on-campus studios and labs, as well as professional-grade equipment, provided to both campus and online students, to elevate their filmmaking to the next level.
“The Trailer Is The Movie!” Category Prizes:
FIRST PRIZE: a $50,000 scholarship to Full Sail University, as well as RØDE microphones, filmmaking gear from Vibesta, Zhiyun, Adobe and more.
SECOND PRIZE: a $30,000 scholarship to Full Sail University, plus a selection of mics from RØDE.
Since 2014, My RØDE Reel has established itself as the World’s Largest Short Film Competition, with over 14,000 films received from 94 countries collectively viewed over 10-million times.
Each year, My RØDE Reel has added exciting new categories and plot twists to engage and encourage filmmakers around the world – right now, the three winners of our 2017 Master Your Craft internship are enjoying their 12 months working in the RØDE creative team.
In 2019, “The Trailer Is The Movie!” gives filmmakers the chance to make a trailer for their dream film – before they make the film! – and the potential to study the award-winning Full Sail University.
